Background

Adventure 'n Beyond has been running as a Christian Camping Ministry for over 17 years. At the end of 2004, Paul Grobler took over the operation of this ministry. Our vision is to assist the (church, school, youth group, corporate) community to live life, reaching their full potential and encouraging them to grow spiritually, socially, and physically through the use of Experiential Education principles in a safe, stimulating and adventurous setting. Adventure 'n Beyond’s Board, comprised of representatives of tertiary institutions, churches and the market place is there to provide insight and encouragement to the operations team.

About Us, Paul Grobler, Staff

Director: Paul Grobler
Paul is a lecturer in the IT sector by training, who was called into full-time ministry. After training in the corporate and college environment for 6 years Paul followed his heart and went into full-time ministry during 2004. He did various courses since 1998 in adventure based education and is a qualified Outdoor Adventure Centre Instructor (ARA level 3), PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Emergency First Responder Trainer. Paul is still very involved in training and still lectures part-time in the corporate sector, does a computer talk show on RSG and is still involved in children and youth ministry at his local church.
Richard Mead Activities Supervisor: Richard Mead
Richard has been with AnB since January 2004.  He has a passion working with young people and teaching them using experiential education methods. Richard loves the outdoors and is a qualified ARA Level 2 Instructor, PADI Dive Master and holds a EFR First Aid Qualification.  He is also a qualified tour guide.  His knowledge of the outdoors and adventure activities is a valuable asset to the organization.
   

Facilitators/International Volunteers
Part-time facilitators and international volunteer are employed/volunteer to assist with camps as needed. These popular staff members are responsible, with proven ability in working with young people.
