Statement of Belief

The Scriptures

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New testament in their original writings as fully inspired of God and accept them as the final authority for faith and life.

The Godhead

We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man. We believe that His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin. We believe in His literal and bodily resurrection from the dead. We believe in His ascension into heaven and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate. We believe in His personal future return to earth.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that He exists eternally as God. He convicts men of sin, regenerates, indwells, and sets apart believers unto a holy life. After conversion the Holy Spirit is the strength and guide of the believers life.

Man

We believe that God created man in His own image, that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physically and spiritually, that all human beings inherit a sinful nature and therefore all mankind need redemption.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by the grace of God, apart from any works, that salvation requires repentance, that salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that salvation will be manifested by a changed life.
